PM certification
Classroom training: 2 days
Course goes through the certification requirements for the chosen certificate (IPMA / PMI) and corresponding project management knowledge areas. Lectures are supported with practical examples and exercises, which make it easier to prepare for the certification exam. Certificate is a generally accepted proof of project management knowledge and often the requirement for getting a new job or contract. Instructions together with the experience requirements can be found at www.pmi.org for PMI's certificate and at national project management association's webpage (in Finland this would be Association of Project Professionals Finland (http://www.pry.fi/en/)) for IPMA's certificate. Target audience: project & program managers and coordinators, project portfolio managers, project team members, schedule, quality and risk management professionals, middle and upper level management, business controllers, analysts and experts
Working methods: lectures followed with groupwork, discussions, exercises and review questions
Prerequisites: basic experience or training such as 'Get started in PM' is recommended
